Hima Run ("we", "us", "our") operates the website hima-run.com and the Hima Run Android app. We provide a free trail running race calendar for Southeast Asia and China.

2. What data we collect

We collect the following data depending on how you use Hima Run:

Account data

If you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and password (stored as a secure hash). Account creation is optional.

User-generated content

Race reviews, ratings, and favorites you submit are stored in our database and linked to your account.

Usage analytics

We use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to understand how people use Hima Run. This includes pages visited, filters used, and general interactions. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.

Feedback

If you submit feedback through the in-app form, we store your message and associate it with your account if you are signed in.

3. What we do NOT collect

• Location data or GPS coordinates from your device
• Contacts, photos, or files from your device
• Payment or financial information
• Advertising identifiers or data for personalized advertising

4. How we use your data

• To provide and improve the Hima Run service
• To display your reviews and favorites
• To send password reset emails when requested
• To understand usage patterns and improve the product

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate Hima Run:

• Supabase — database and authentication (hosted in Singapore)
• PostHog — product analytics (hosted in the EU)
• Vercel — website hosting

Each service processes data according to their own privacy policies. We have chosen providers that follow industry-standard security practices.

6. Data retention

Your account data and user-generated content are retained for as long as your account is active. Analytics data is retained for up to 12 months. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days.

You have the right to:

• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data

8. Cookies

Hima Run uses essential cookies for authentication (keeping you signed in) and analytics cookies via PostHog. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children

Hima Run is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Hima Run after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
