Follows the Catimor-named route through Doi Mae Mon coffee country on a mix of singletrack and double-track trails above Huai Chomphu. Runners pass Akha hill-tribe villages and shaded coffee groves with views stretching to the Mekong. The White Temple and Singha Park are easy day trips from Chiang Rai.
